 My goal is to teach my friends how to make bracelets. During culture group I showed my friends how to make beaded bracelets. I had Brooke help choose beads out while I thread them. It was a fun experience and look forward to making more bracelets. 

I always look forward to Ten Pin bowling with my friends. This time was great because we had Chris and his carer join us. We competed on the lanes but Chris won. Great team effort! Look forward to the next time.  

On Friday I watched my friends from the science/technology group create an eruption with their volcano project. They added vinegar and baking soda. We counted down from 10,9,8,7,6,5,4,3,2,1! It didn’t erupt. So staff added more vinegar until it started spilling out, it gave them a fright. Everyone clapped and applauded the group for their efforts.   

I went for a walk to Sunnys store to look at items we could purchase for our sports day. We had our walk around in our community to look at other stores before returning to the centre.   

I went to the library with my friends. I read some picture books to Sam and he enjoyed it very much. I chose out some books for us to read during story time at the centre. We then rushed off back to the centre because it was going to rain. We made it back in time before it began pouring down.   

On Friday 13th May, I visited Rotorua with some of my friends. We went to Redwoods and strolled along the walking trail. It was so cold and frosty but it was AMAZING! After that we went to Kuirau Park and had lunch. There I shared my pizza bread with everyone and we all had hot chips. We then walked around the park and saw all the different hot pools. They smelled like fart. On our way back to the centre we stopped in at the shop and got some ice cream to enjoy on the van trip. It was a fab day and I really enjoyed the experience 🙂  

I did an awesome craft activity! I painted a pine cone for our session &chose some dark marble colours. I was stoked I got to show my friends.
